Bullmina #2 Book
Launch Party, Dec. 11, 2010, at Campanella Restaurant, Newark, CA

|
Thank you Vienna Bakery, Newark, CA for a wonderful cake!
Even though the party was in December, we chose an autumn
theme for the cake to honor Lady Evelyn's Autumn Harvest Ball, which takes place in Chapter 27 of the new book. Thanks
to her niece Beatrice's suggestion, The Annual Autumn Harvest Ball at Chathamworthshire is now
a charity ball which raises money for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, founded by Richard Martin
("Humanity Dick") in England.

Jamie Panattoni and Mica England in front of the Restaurant.
Our dear friend, Jamie Panattoni (left), and my daughter,
Mica (right), who provided wonderful insights to several chapters of the book. Mica did the final edit of the galley
proofs before publishing, and she posed for a few of the illustrations. And, yes....GO GIANTS!!! Finally, a San
Francisco World Series Championship after more than fifty years. Bay Area natives, my husband, daughter and I have been waiting
all our lives for this.

Leslie Hoops-Wallace, illustrator, Lita Eitner-England, author, and Tammy Condon.
I was delighted to host my illustrator, Leslie Hoops-Wallace,
who flew all the way out from Atlanta, Georgia. She stayed with us for a few days and was able to sign books with me. She
wasn't able to come out for the first Bullmina book launch in 2004, so this was a very special treat for everyone. Thanks
again to Campanella in Newark, California, for letting us take over their entire restaurant for four hours and providing lovely
food and wine.

Glorianne Wong, daughter Lisa Wong, and Little Funston
Lisa made a paper mache Little Funston for a school project after reading the first Bullmina book a few years ago. Now
she's all grown up! It was nice of her to bring her Little Funston to the party so I could autograph him for her.

Mary Aiken of NorCal Bulldog Rescue and rescue dog, Brandy
We thank Mary Aiken and the team at NorCal Bulldog Rescue
for fostering and rehabilitating so many dogs this year. We also thank their sister rescue group, Mother Lode Bulldog Rescue.
Dozens of Bulldogs are abandoned and surrendered each year, and these wonderful people open their homes and their pocket books
to them so they can have another chance at a better life with a family that will love and truly appreciate them.

Joey is still a young Bulldog, and he already has three titles.
He's a South Bay school mascot, and the children adore him.
